Willie Frank Prather Jr. was born to Bishop Willie Frank Prather Sr. and Betty Prather in Ashburn Georgia.  As the oldest of his 3 siblings, he began to display a distinct propensity for music at a young age. At the age of 16, Willie Frank Prather Jr.  was introduced to quartette music when he was enlisted as a musician for the Heavenly Stars of Ashburn Georgia.  It was during his 8 years of service to the Heavenly Stars that Willie developed a passion for the gospel quartette genre of music. This experience also served as an introduction to the business side of the music industry.

Soon, Willie Frank Prather Jr. developed a vision to start his own group and in 1996 he organized Chosen & Faithful: a gospel quartette group and band. As founder of the group, Willie Frank Prather Jr. oversaw the booking, management, touring and coordination of the group as well as writing and producing most of their music.  In 2005 Willie and Chosen & Faithful recorded their first project entitled “Still Standing,” and embarked on a promotional tour throughout the east coast. The project as well as the tour received critical acclaim among their peers and was widely popular with their growing fanbase. In 2010, Willie Frank Prather Jr. produced his sophomore project; a live recording entitled “He Made Away.” Much like his initial project, “He Made Away” caught fire: selling multiple copies and garnering the praise of gospel music lover everywhere. Although, it's been 10 years since its release, the title track is still in heavy rotation on gospel radio stations and is one of the most requested during their live performances.

In 2019 and after 29 years in the gospel music industry, Willie Frank Prather Jr. achieved one of his dreams by founding Disciple Fruition Music Group: an innovative and eclectic record label promoting all genres of music. Fruition Music Group (FMG); is the home of Willie Frank Prather Jr. and Chosen & Faithful’s newest single entitled “Two Sides To Every Story,” which features George Dean of the Gospel Four.

Willie Frank Prather Jr. is the devoted husband of Pastor Donna L. Prather and the father of 4 children.
